I'm pretty sure it is that carb issue where it dumps fuel in since when it restarts there is a huge cloud of black smoke. When it happens am I better of putting gas pedal all the way down while cranking, or doing nothing and just cranking it until it starts again? I know on newer cars putting...
Alright... so I need to check all grounds and maybe clean them. Since I'm having other electrical issues (occasional no crank no start and low voltage) this makes sense. Do you know if there is a diagram so I can do this?
Fuel pumps are cheap, so I wouldn't mind replacing it, but I personally...
Dies on speed bumps/sudden stops
OK... this is a wierd one...
Literally 5 mins after buying the truck I was driving to my friends place to pick him up so he could drive my other car home. Anyway, his apartment complex has some nasty speed bumps. I take them too fast... the burb would die...
When I owned a completely stock 95 Suburban 350 TBI iit got 11 average - that was about 75% city 25% highway. I'd say a lifted K5 won't do any better than that, if not worse. I'm grateful I have no idea what my MPG is since my odo/speedo are wrong and the gas gauge doesn't work.
I just put a Pioneer AVH-X2800BS in my Envoy. It's really great not just having Bluetooth audio but full control over playlists, etc. for Spotify through the head unit. That said, double-DIN won't work in a square body :'( Guess I'll go with a Pioneer DEH-X6800BT because it claims...
For some reason older Suburbans don't hold their value as well as a pickup. Even a long bed pickup is worth more than a Suburban usually. I don't quite understand, because I think Suburbans are more useful and look better... but I guess nobody asked me :P
All that doesn't apply just to square...
Well, it passed. Yay $9 fuel cap from O'Reillys. While we're talking about gas caps, where do y'all put yours when fueling, since on a Suburban there's no bed to put it in... I end up putting it on the ground but I'd rather not do that.
Eh, I'll go for the nice tach that goes into the fuel gauge spot after all. It just looks too good to pass up. Will have to save up for it so can't get it right away. I just don't see any solutions that are cheaper but look great.
I'm really sorry to say this but I hope you don't regret that purchase. I had an 07 Colorado for a year and it was the worst GM I have ever owned. 0/10 would not recommend. That said, wow, that 3M kit is really, really good.
