    Timing on 84 305

Why does it not have vacuum advance? You should since it is street driven.. where is your distributor from the 350? Use that one. you need to get the timing issue resolved first before addressing the carb.

pic 1 - your A/C pressure switch wiring pic 2 - I think it's part of the ESC, maybe the knock sensor? pic 3 - never seen that before. see below on pic 3, I see a wiring loom, but no wires, now I am thinking that is the piece that snaps into the loom hole on the valve cover, yours is missing...

Vintage VW Guy Now Has A Chevy

Welcome. For the spare, you could get one from LMC or go junkyard hunting. I thought stepsides had bed mounted ones anyway. For the gauges, you could probably just paint that sheet steel and it will look pretty good. Those gauges will be more accurate anyway. Looks like you have a great...

    headers??

No Green79, you have it backwards. shorties are for low to mid range rpm power. long tube is for mid to high rpm power. long tubes create a negative wave pressure by pulling the exhaust down further therefore creating a better pull on the intake side. this is great for higher rpms/engines...
