Tailgate panel/ trim help

Ok so tomorrow I'm going to take of a tailgate trim panel and put it on mine. I have a 78 pick up that does not have the panel. First I would like to know if it is even possible to put it on mine. And second if it will fit how to take it of other tailgate and put it on mine nay help will be useful thanks

On the back side of the tailgate should be 4-5 screws. As long as both gates are 80 an down years it will work. The recess is a little different on 81+ gates so the trim piece is different too. To fit it to the gate on your truck you just have to drill the holes...

Don't drill! Why put that on. I hate mine and would take it off but they didn't when they redid the paint.

Well I like the look of them but for ten bucks I'm going to see how it looks like, and won't put it on until I paint my truck in 2 months. Seen them on LMC truck and these are expensive

Got the trim chrome pieces for the lights and the panel. Just need some paint on it
