Help! I can’t stop my coolant leak.

I transferred jobs to a few hours away and am in the process of moving, so I haven’t had a lot of time to get online. I ended up putting a gasket on it three times. The third time I coated the intake and housing with rtv and put plumbers tape on the inserts. It leaked slightly at first and...

Help! I can’t stop my coolant leak.

Honestly, I hate that intake. Actually, I hate just about every modification the previous owners did to the engine. It’s all half-assed and rednecked together. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as redneck as they come, but I’ve never understood not doing something the correct way because in the long run...

Help! I can’t stop my coolant leak.

I know it looks like that, and I thought that at first, but I actually watched it drip from around the housing in the intake today. I will tape those up as well though. I think it was leaking there too but not as much as I saw from the housing and intake.

Help! I can’t stop my coolant leak.

Hey guys, I found a coolant leak from my thermostat housing two weeks ago. I bought a new housing because it had one of those chrome jobs on it. I replaced the thermostat, housing, and hoses, but when I fired it up, it started leaking again in the same area, maybe worse. So, I took it apart...

    Coolant issue

So I decided to change the thermostat and housing today. I popped the hose to find a surprise. Can someone tell me what is going on with my cooling system?

Drop kit recommendations that don’t require notching the frame

Like the post says, I am looking for drop recommendations that don’t require notching the frame. I think I’m going to use my income tax returns to drop the truck and buy a stepside bed if I can find one. I’ve looked through the forum for some recommendations for a drop, but I see mostly kits...

    Updated headlamp harness

I was unaware that LMC sold these (I guess I have been to busy with trying to get everything right with the body and interior). I’ll definitely be checking into these since everyone blinds me at night with these new cars. I still can’t believe that is legal.

My grandma had a 4 door same color and year. I drove the out of it. I had no idea they made a 2 door bucket seat floor shift. I’d like to see interior pics when you get around to getting into it.

    Dual tank issues

Well guys, quite a bit has happened since I last logged on. Needless to say, I haven’t messed with the truck in a while. Actually, I drove it for the first time in months yesterday. I replaced the switch. It was broken as it fell apart when it was taken out of the dash. The new one works as it...

    1964 Ford F100

By the way, that front bumper and those hubcaps are not original. My uncle pulled those off of his Ranger and stuck them on there back in the late 70s I believe.

    1964 Ford F100

This is my other project. It runs and drives, but I currently have it stored in my parent’s garage. It’s a 1964 F100 with an inline 6 and 3 speed on the column. I eventually want to do a P71 frame/drivetrain swap. I know there’s a lot of hate for Fords, but my grandpa bought this one new off the...

I can’t read wiring diagrams to save my life. I do better with hands on visual than color charts.

    Dual tank issues

I did a check and nothing happened when I held the switch in either direction. There was no fluctuation to the fuel gauge. I guess my next step will be ordering the switch. Could someone tell me how to tell if the wiring is correct? I know at some point the wiring under the dash was cut to...

    Dual tank issues

If I recall correctly, nothing happens when I hold the switch. However, I’ll double check before work today to make sure.

    Dual tank issues

This is my first square body, and I’ve never dealt with dual tanks before. When I bought the truck, the PO informed me that only the passenger side worked, and it was this way when he received the truck. He said he didn’t know why. I want to get both tanks working, but I’m not sure where to...

It was the filter/line. Replaced both and everything seems to be fine.

    Fuel leak

No pcv at all. Those valve covers are circle track valve covers. I didn’t put them on. The truck came that way when I got it last month. I’ve already picked up a different set of valve covers and plan to replace soon.

    Fuel leak

I have been out of town for a few weeks and decided to fire up the 84 yesterday. I popped the hood and checked the oil. Then I went to the cab to fire it up. It took several pumps of the pedal and a few cranks, but the truck fired up. I sat in the cab for a few minutes before hopping out to do a...
