If the caliper is loose too itll be either the pins(that hold the caliper on)or the bushings and rubber orings in the caliper being worn. Ive bought the pins but not the bushings/orings because ive always replaced the whole caliper, but im sure you can get them.

Yeah, little spring clips that hold the pad in the caliper. Mine were missing and rattled like crazy. Id say i found them in ebay. Ill see if i can find a link or picture.

Im guessing the little clips arent in there and the pads are rattling. If thats the case, you can buy the clips.

    Dies on speed bumps/sudden spots

Mine does this on steep, bumpy inclines. Im guessing the float level is too high. Doesnt do it often enough for me to tear into it. Just hold it wide open, clear it out, n it starts right up. Edit: steep, downhill inclines. Never has done it going up

    Steering arm cone washer removal

Id say repeat the process, bad as i wish i had something better to tell you. Try hitting in different spots? The meat of the steering arm, down between the cones and the knuckle is what worked for me. I got pretty frustrated, but i guess mine wasnt that bad cuz just pb and a bfh popped them out...
