Nobody does a 2/2 drop but I want to?

I would suggest a 2.5/4in drop also, that consists of 2.5in drop spindles and 4in drop shackles and hangers. That would get rid of the 4x4 look and still have plenty of clearance for those bad roads. It will also leave your coil springs and leaf springs unaltered. To answer your question, I...

    Truck 12 bolt carrier

I think the carriers go from 3.73 and up and 3.42 and down so I would assume 3.73 gears wont fit on a carrier that has 3.07 gears...

    What will bolt directly in

Their are no direct bolt in 9in rear ends. Your factory 10 or 12 bolt is 64in wide from wheel mount surface to wheel mount surface. You will need to find one close to that wide unless you are going to tub or mini tub the truck. You will have to remove all the mounting brackets off of the 9in and...

No sweat, you have a really nice truck, its worth doing it right.

    Getting close

I drilled out the WC shock extenders so I could use the stock lower shock bolt also, really not a big deal. You should use the offset hole in the u-bolt plate to better line up the u-bolts decause of the offset hole in the flip bracket moving your rear axle back.

You can do it by hand while its bolted to the caliper.

    Brake lines with drop? Help!!

You have to carefully bend the hard portion of the line so it will clear the castle nut.

    Getting close

You can remove the overload springs if you want, they are not even effective until the leaf springs are layed flat against them anyway. You can also leave them on if you want as they dont stiffen or soften the ride. I left them on both my trucks.

    VIN Lookup

The vin# doesn't break it down to trim level. You will need the RPO codes on the SPID sheet to find that out. It will be in your glove box or on the right front inner fender.

    pics of drops

This is 5/6in on 15s, borderline to low, the control arms scrape on my driveway and bad roads on occasion. The back is easy to get crazy low but the front cross member and lower control arms is where you are going to have problems unless you can fab something up.

    Newbie Drop Kit System Question

If you are missing some leafs, I will sit lower than 5in in the rear. You might consider a new or used set of leaf springs to get the correct drop you want.

    Newbie Drop Kit System Question

A 3.5/5in kit is probably what your after. That would consist of 2.5in drop spindles, 1in drop springs, and a 5in flip kit for the rear. You stated that the PO did a hack job on the drop, what did he do? You may need some other parts depending on the level of "butchery" done to it.

PORTER BUILT VS CPP. I know the answer. Pics inside

I think both would give you an excellent ride, the coil overs would give you a slightly firmer ride but unless your going to road course the truck I think the CPP coil spring set up will give you the comfort for long rides.
