Nobody does a 2/2 drop but I want to?

I want to drop my 86 silverado 2 inchs front and rear.I like the way it sits but would just like it a little less 4WD looking.It is running 17 inch wheels.
I bought some 2 inch lowering shackles for the rear and dropped the rear 1 inch just to see what a difference it made was thinking I could just buy some 2 inch lowering springs for the front and drop the rear the other inch available with the shackles.
Will the front springs ruin the ride quality ? Australian roads are potholed crap so ride quality counts here!
Is it worthy going with 2.5 lowering spindles with such a mild drop?

I'd say either springs or shackles will work fine and it's just up to you what you'd prefer. If it was me I'd do the spindles

Do either a 2/4 or 4/6 drop, better fit for the 17s and less wheel gap with fenders, better handling and over all better looking!

I would suggest a 2.5/4in drop also, that consists of 2.5in drop spindles and 4in drop shackles and hangers. That would get rid of the 4x4 look and still have plenty of clearance for those bad roads. It will also leave your coil springs and leaf springs unaltered.

To answer your question, I would go with spindles instead of drop springs considering your road conditions.

Thanks for advice.Spindles it is as I like the idea of still having full suspension travel.
Can you suggest a good brand that is 100% US made as I am sick of buying parts that are an American brand only to find "made in China " once I have them.
I will install the spindles and lower the rear the other inch available with the shackles and see if I am happy.
If you guys turn out to be right I will buy the hangers to get it down 4 inches in the rear.
