    Electric rear window

Looks like a removable window I didn’t see the electric one on the site Just lots of semi attractive chicks hanging out the window Once your AC works You won’t be removing the back window The regular sliders are handy sometimes for chucking beer cans into the bed

    DIY paint??

You definitely have to mask it yourself in their parking lot if you take it to Maaco or Diamond or one of the cheap places They will NOT spend more than three minutes on the tape The maaco in Columbus Ga did a great job on my 70 trans am But the only thing to mask was the back bumper and...

    DIY paint??

It WILL need some body work and prep You just can’t see it now But there’s lots of dings and stuff that will really show up with new shiny paint on top of it All the body shops make big money doing insurance collision repairs They are fairly quick turnaround and a fat profit To do a...

    Hard Start - SOLVED

Don’t drive it Much if it’s pinging The pinging sound is your pistons self destructing The position of the dizzy isn’t really important As long as you have room to adjust it without the advance arm hitting something I don’t pay any attention to the degrees On an old car the pointer...

    Hard Start - SOLVED

It’s sounded like the timing was too advanced I would try retarding the timing for sure If it runs it can’t be too far out But one of the best things I ever did was take an old cap and cut windows in it with a dremel so I could actually see where the rotor was pointing to the number one...

    Another dieseling thread

Just shut off the ignition while it’s in drive , the drag of the trans being in drive will usually stop it from dieseling I used to have a 69 thunderbird with the 429 thunder jet / cobra jet engine and it always did it and that was the only cure

    1981 C1500 factory air repair

There’s still quite a few cans floating around And for sale on CL I would use 12 on a system that’s fine but just need a extra can in it If your system is already open I’d use 134 since you will Probabaly have to open it up again shortly after you charge it to fix the leaks you didn’t notice...

    Squarebody on a Duramax frame

Only see the transmission badges when every automatic behind any diesel failed early and often I remember when they first started putting automatics in school busses on the late 70s so they could hire women drivers The failure rate in the first year was 75%

    Squarebody on a Duramax frame

The 6BT was designed by Cummins to be used in excavators And it’s in a lot of boats too The marine pump and injectors is a nice upgrade At least dodge was the only one to not act like it was their own engine And the NV 4500 was also used in Chevys I think everyone knows what...
