    Yes this is true I have removed 3-4 of theses rear axles I wonder now how the bearing last when they aren't a presed fit?? I have heard that clunked before but was 40 years ago

    I wouldn't put ANY on if it didn't have any, You are going to screw up starter drive AND flywheel I would take starter back to rebuilder

    Anyone here ever (fully) rebuild an air compressor pump?

    The bearings You can hear across the room can last another 15 years or so as long as the cage is in good shape I had a roller bearing in a 4 speed square body that howeled for 3=4 years and only reason it went out is cage went bad and balls started rubbing each other, I don't know how many years...

    Bad fuel filter and weak fuel pump can cause this also.
