Assuming that your radio is AM/FM, you can simply use the Roady's broadcast function to transmit to your radio. I usually use 88.300 with mine since that frequency normally doesn't have any interference in my local area. You can set transmit frequency in the Roady's menu. So, just find a an...
Thank you. At nearly 50 years old, I'm almost ashamed to admit how much I miss him. But, this C10 is a great reminder of him daily since he purchased it new. Thankfully, he transferred it to me almost 25 years ago so it didn't become part of his estate. I'm just thankful to be able to hold...
Updating this thread since the last time I posted. I did not sell my '79 to date. My father passed away July 12th and the medical bills so far are not as bad as I anticipated them being. Not 100% out of the woods yet, but I'm hoping to get things moving forward without having to sell my C10...
Honest value opinions welcomed. Very serious about selling my all original '79. It's a 2 wheel drive short bed, 305 3-speed manual, 62K miles. Purchased new in '79 by my father. Original paint, engine, etc. Located in western PA. Radiator does have a leak when hot. But otherwise, truck...
Seeing that it was left to your wife, you are in a no lose situation. Drive it till it dies and you aren't out anything. Or, as mentioned above, if you don't want it or need it, sell it off or trade it.
Neighbor of ours just up the road had one from new and drove it as their daily driver for years. Then, it sat behind their garage until he died. No idea what happened to it after that.
My Sprinter is the OM-651 2.1L 4cyl diesel. I am constantly amazed at the fuel mileage that a vehicle of that size can accomplish. MB has been in the small diesel market for many years both with their 3.0L 6 and the 4 cyl offerings and have a great following in that crowd.
I have no idea...
Little update. Finally treated the old Dakota to a set of new tires yesterday. It had some miss matched tires on it when I got it and we finally wore them out.
I wish that one was closer. Almost exactly what I have been looking for. Something a little odd with the door/fender alignment on the passenger side pic though.
I'd vote for patch panels that you can fit and trim as needed. My gut tells me that once you start really diving in to those areas, the rust will be much more extensive than it appears. By the time you get to good clean steel, you may end up with a ton of fabrication.
Have you started in the there with a hammer to see how far the rust extends in those areas? Or, is what we are seeing just scraping/cleaning up the areas?
Pulling this thread back up to answer this question. We've put approx 1500 miles on it since I got it back on the road. It's averaging 14 mpg. Not great, but not bad for an occasional use vehicle.
