    Idle & vacuum questions

I always love the threads on manifold verses ported vacuum and I think I've read them all. I run manifold vacuum on both of my 350's, the one I built myself and the one that was bought from a guy who had it ported. I also use Edelbrock carbs and intakes on both. Manifold vac is the only way mine...

    New ACC Carpet

I just installed the same carpet, love it. I had my sills but it was still nerve racking. I trimmed as close as I could to the weather strip and the sills went in nicely. My head ache was cutting out for the floor shifters.

    Water on floor

I'll share this in hopes it may help someone. My 84 K10 has a wet spot below the passenger kick panel that I was determined to fix since I just installed new carpet. I could see water drip off of the bottom front of the kick panel (ac truck) but couldn't find any water above the panel. I pulled...

    Dashpad replacement options

I got one from Cheyenne and installed it last week. it looks better than the one I had but...its built on a plastic frame, not metal like the original and it takes a bit of trimming which they don't mention in the video. Last night I got good info watching Truck You on Velocity Channel! They...

    Seat belt bolt removal tips?

I was able to get mine loose with a 24v Kobalt 1/2" impact. My 84 K has the bolts with hex heads though.

What spark plugs make the difference?

Delco R45TS in both of mine. They work well, don't cost much and hell, I change plugs every year anyway.

    father daughter project.. 85 k10

Im glad that truck went to a good home, Im sure its one I almost bought. Wasn't it out in the sticks in the Raleigh NC area? I drove it around the big block of land the guy lived on, he said " just keep taking rights, you'll eventually get back here." I ended up buying a four speed 84 K10 in...

    New 350 Engine

I agree with Jarhead79. A crate motor delivered for two grand is cheaper than the three grand I spent rebuilding a crate motor. That is an engine with no intake, carb, fuel pump etc. You can buy them turn key or decide what you want to reuse. I ended up installing all new stuff and the feeling...

    Stock 350 Exhaust heat shields

I took mine off when I rebuilt my engine and left them off. Also plugged the air fittings on each manifold. Most people run headers and they don't have the shields. Less is better, I think.
