    Does this truck utilize hydroboost brakes? If so you might need the lower power steering pump bracket which a 1973 Caprice would not have. No Hydroboost then likely no problem.

    I replaced a diesel with a BB. The only bracket I needed was the lower power steering pump mount from a BB as the 6.5 was not compatible.

    Last I heard the 402 from my 72 GMC 3500 was in a Jeep. Wish I still had that truck, actually all my old trucks! I tried finding my 69 after I was told years back it had been scrapped. I went to the junkyard but, the 396 fender badges were already gone.:(

    You will need the big block bottom power steering pump bracket for the hydra boost pump also.
