I have a 1978 Sierra Grande 15 that I just bought. It has some ugly stel wheels with hubcaps that i don't like, but I don't know what size wheels and tires that I could buy that would fit. I am looking for stock size/fitment. The door sticker denoting size is missing.

Look in the glove box for the SPID list sticker.
Wheel codes should be on it.
Example below.

Unfortunately, that sticker is missing. I think that the glove box has been replaced at some point.

These were the small hub caps on my 1982 C1500.

I believe the caps on my 1974 were slightly different, don't know which year they changed.

The wheels that came on your truck would be 15", the width would be 5.5" to 7.5" depending on the original tires. Your truck could also have had full wheel covers depending on the trim package.

The full wheel covers made the truck look like 4 wheel drive even if it was only rear drive.

Rally wheels were also an option, 15" and different widths.

For factory type wheels, you could have rally wheels, narrow steel wheels, wide steel wheels, 'wagon' wheels or aluminum wheels. What kind of look are you going for?

Also, your avatar picture reminds me of my own :)

I found a set of these on facebook. Got them for $295. Guy threw in a set of center caps to go with them.
