Do these racing stripes work on this square?

Hmm - hood and roof, I assume?

Could be cool.

@Ron Sebastian I have considered that striping on a solid black truck from my younger days. I always thought it would look good on the right truck, BUT!!! it would have to be a Bad A$$ truck if it had Rally Stripes. I do think it would have to be hood, roof and tailgate to be done correctly.

Would you go with white striping or would you keep the Dark, Murdered Out Theme you have going now? Perhaps red stripes on the black or even a blue? Perhaps a reverse of this scheme?

If the young lady sitting behind your truck is also yours, she matches your truck very nicely. You might consider an EZ Up Canopy for car shows. It fits easily in the bed of the truck and is invaluable during those hot summer car shows. When I put mine up there is never any room for me to sit under it, I suddenly get lots of New Friends.

This is mine set up at a small local show a couple months ago:

Thanks Redfish, your advice has been invaluable! I was thinking of a cream/ egg off white and just like the Camaro, not doing the roof. I don't plan on doing many car shows, it was smoking hot/ humid today in FLA!

If I did it to my truck, and I've thought about it, it would be on the hood area only.

Who's going to see the roof? I'd go with either hood only or maybe hood and gate. Don't the Rams have stripes on the gate sometimes? I'm not sure if I like that look. But hey, personal preference and your truck. Do whatever you like best.

I’ve been contemplating the same thing for years and if I ever pull the trigger I’ll be going with the 70 Chevelle SS stripes in gloss black. They have a finished pin stripe type border that looks cleaner and they do not run all the way to the edge of the hood or trunk.

I’ve never been a fan of stripes on the roof or running down the grill or bumpers, it just seems too much and overkill. I’ve always like a more subtle approach to exterior esthetic upgrades to a vehicle so as not to take away the beauty of the original body lines. But to each their own. Just my two cents.

I think with the black paint you have to work with, it’d be easy to get a complimentary color stripe to make it “Pop”.

I was gonna say, no, not my style on the OPs truck, but @waynew s truck looks AWESOME! I’ve changed my mind. Black truck, thinking white, flat black “ghost” stripes or bright red
And I just reinstalled my hood last night…. But have enough paint for a couple dark blue SS stripes to match! Lol
