RockAuto- 4x4 front drive shaft, '81 K20 -Rock Auto

It may not fit the particular application due to the larger size, but it does indeed look to be a quality unit.

Bleeding rear brakes on 1978 C30 dually

It also matters if it's a cab & chassis rear axle. The brakes are REALLY close to the spring packs.

Bleeding rear brakes on 1978 C30 dually

There are (or were) bleeder wrenches made specifically for that application. We had a thread about that several years back I think. I don't remember the manufacturer of the bleeder wrench I have.

    Rebuilding my dash pad.

It's just foam. The center opening was only for the speaker, so it won't hurt anything at all if you choose to cover that area.

    Step Side Bed Wiring

Lol, I had simply got a kick out of Ken's response and could tell he wasn't a fan of that particular idea, which is the biggest reason for my post. However, I forgot to add that I also added a ground wire to my stepside. Simply grounding the bed to the frame took care of my issue though. I like...

Some of us actually like the "clunky" factory side lights :)

    What year tailgate is this??

I always thought the one with the pegs was '73-'74.

    6.7 Cummins Suburban Build

Somehow I missed your post about the oil pressure "gauge". That's been a Dodge thing for 20+ years now and I can't stand it, lol. It's really not an oil pressure gauge... it's really just a moving idiot light.

Are you talking about the Firestone Transforce tires in 9.50x16.5? I have had a set of those and they were a great truck/towing tire. Got a lot of miles out of them too.

    A833 transmission

From what I remember, the GM version had ratios similar to a 700r4 auto. It always seemed like a great all-around combo to me, especially behind an engine with a broad power band. I'll install mine someday.

    Water Pump Bolt Length

Whichever length is the one that gets you enough thread engagement, plus more to spare. Iirc, the original bolts have around 5/8" of stickout.

    Best Grease

That's good stuff, but like all the others, you get all the runny messy seepage over time. Apparently the Blaster brand offers grease now too and the comparable red stuff doesn't do the runny/sticky thing.

    Mud Tires

Wish I could find a set of those. I've also been looking for a set of the 36x12.5x16.5 Wrangler II's for probably a decade now, but no luck.

    Wheel Opening Moldings

Yep, stated in post #4. However, I didn't mention the crew cab because I couldn't remember if they got them or not. I know they didn't receive a lot of the updated trim.

How to ID 16" 8 bolt wheels?

That's a great idea! I'm going to weld a screwdriver or something to a socket. I've always used an impact socket, by hand, to remove and install the plastic nuts. Than can be a little hard on the wrist, grasping the end of a socket for all those plastic nuts on an 8-lug truck.

Best header back exhaust package for a 1985 K10 short bed

I've run the Hooker and Dynomax kits for these trucks, many years ago. For the cost at the time, fit was great. I much preferred the look of the Hooker exhaust because of the quality mandrel bends. Dynomax was crush bent.

They also make a great entry mat to a shop or garage entry door. So I'd say there is some value.

How to ID 16" 8 bolt wheels?

I'd love to buy them if I could afford it right now. But there's currently no budget for "want" items. There's really not even enough for the "need" items right now, lol.

How to ID 16" 8 bolt wheels?

Yeah, those should work just fine. Your studs are 9/16".

What have you done to your square lately??

From what I remember, the vortec 350 pump and reservoir is the very same as what was used in the LS pickups the following years. I don't remember about the pulley though.

What was the third terminal ever used for? I've only ever seen two wires in them, power and ground of course.
