Would a transmission jack help with something like that if a guy was tackling the job by himself?
Unless the tank is full it's not necessary. Would be helpful though, especially when bolting it back in. Would help when messing with the hoses too. But a regular jack would work as well, just to hold it.
Unfortunately I just filled the working passenger side tank to help with all the problem solving I was sure related to TBI electronics that live in and around the throttle body itself. Now it definitely seems as if it could be the old electronic pumps in the tank and/or clogged sock filters on the inlets to fuel lines.
Yup but a floor jack with a strap over the tank may be easier to manage.
