Got bored and had some time so I decided to start on the passenger's door renovation. Not taking it all the way apart, just enough to clean, lubricate, and replace items as needed. I'll do the right side first and learn so the driver's side is done better. Can still close and lock the door.

Easy to take apart, broke a couple of plastic pieces, but door kit has all new stuff to install.
I ordered $450 worth of panels and parts from LMC, they all look to be fine for what I am doing. The "saddle" color is somewhat darker than the unfaded side of my old panels, but should be ok.

Armrest bracket is ok, will clean and paint. Will use 1/4-20 stainless steel screws to reattach to door:

I decided to splurge and bought the fancy shiny strip for the top and the fancy shiny rectangular trim for the handle opening. I was a bit nervous about drilling and cutting the new panel, but the instruction sheet was clear and logical and the ABS material was easy to cut and drill. Parts assembled easily and actually look good. Next on to the armrest, weather stripping and spraying the inside of the door with undercoating.
And the row of pinball machines make a good worktable when covered with cardboard or large towels.

Had a couple of hours today, no grandkids, and the 1" of snow from yesterday melted. Finished up the passenger's door and started on the driver's door.

A bit darker than "Doeskin tan" but acceptable for my truck:

Installed with minimal frustration, but I did have to make minor tweaks and trimming with a razor knife on the door handle and window crank handle opening. They were about 1/8" off but easily fixed and hidden behind other trim.
The driver's door panel is worn much more than the passengers:

My truck started life on a farm in eastern Montana, and it appears that the driver was usually the sole occupant since the seat, trim, and seatbelt on the passenger's side are in much better condition than the drivers.
The inside of the driver's door was much dirtier and rustier, probably from having the window down a lot. There is even some type of chemical damage just above the window handle crank shaft.

Someone has been in here before, there is one shiny, new looking window track screw just below the armrest bracket.
Started cleaning, repainting parts and prepping for assembly. Got to hurry before the snow sticks!

It's done! It's done! It's done! And I am very tired of this project. I NEVER want to do another door panel in my life.
Drivers side fought me nearly every step and detail. But they are on and look good enough for my truck. By the way, I hate anything to do with paint, body work and now trim work. Mechanical stuff is my happy spot.

New window weatherstripping makes a huge difference in the driver's door window channel, the old stuff was torn, worn, brittle, and came out in pieces and chunks.

With the snow coming soon, this may be the last project until spring. But I will try to drive the truck when conditions are somewhat dry and not icy. Today I picked up groceries and a small toddler slide for the great granddaughter to use indoors.
