Heater box removal question

Any way to remove the big ugly box on the firewall and keep heat ? I don't care about AC in the future I will probably do vintage air, want to keep heat but remove that heater box on firewall, any help appreciated!

A/c delete box. Just for the engine bay side. Keeps all the factory a/c positioning. No hackery needed.
