My ‘73 has a pulsating/rubbing sound that pulses/rubs a higher frequency when I drive faster and slower/longer as a I slow down. So, as I come to a stop, it’s a loooong, high pitched rubbing sound.
This sound was happening before I did a complete front brake job this year, and it continues to make the sound. It’s loud and annoying.
My first thought is rear drum brakes, but any experience with this? I had rear drum brakes serviced, including replacement of the wheel cylinder and master cylinder, a year ago. Another shop checked the rear brakes and said the first shop did a good job, but wondering if they need attention again.
If so, I’ll tackle the rear brakes myself with any suggestions here.
