Interesting because my truck has been used on forestry tracks and country roads that are barely there ,through river beds and covered in mud and ****.Hauled wood ,fencing and most of all100s of bikes pissing out fluids all over my spray in liner. Then when I get home I do some really weird ****...
To an outsider (Australia) the carolina squat looks ridiculous and screams "I am desperate to get noticed " and will do anything to make that happen.
Take a short wheelbase square remove the bed and fit another cab facing to the rear would be a trend and only a little bit more "Stupid" than the...
After reading all these posts I think I will just leave it stock for now.
The wheels on it are 17 inch rally replicas which ride better over potholes and give me a better tire choice here in OZ but nobody ever picks them up as not being stock.
It currently has 340hp which is enough for its...
Thats the biggest worry (ride quality) as although this thing is well cared for it gets used on dirt roads and will still be used as a bike carrier. One of my closest friends has a remote property totally off the grid that will be a no go for the truck if I drop it.
95% of the pickups here are also lowered. I thought a 3/4 drop would look ok but leaving it stock is starting to have some appeal.
It's not like the people commenting are young bucks but mostly old dudes my age saying get that thing down. Maybe I should be a rebel at my age and just leave it...

It sounds like it is changing normally after...
I am 67 and my shop truck is an old friend of 13 years that has also been retired after carting motorcycles and parts around for all those years.
I am in Australia so C10s are not that common but everywhere I go these days I get told "Nice truck" but you need to get it dropped ASAP!
I have been...
If I put the peddle to the floor it will change around 3500 -4000rpm 3 to OD but the lower gears change even earlier.
Will this shift kit do the trick?
ZZ4/700R4 and ford 9 inch with 3.50 gears...
Fitted a rebuilt quady from summit racing to my ZZ4 crate motor 5 years ago. Truck is driven sedately to tire smoking hard. Very economical if I stay out of the secondaries.
Only issue is in summer the fuel in the bowl evaporates if it sits more than 3 days and have to crank the **** out of it...
