It should, frame horns are the same from 1973-1980, they changed for 1981 updated front end, those are 1981-1987(91).

When I was a young boy, this was my fear when riding in a truck. To me, there wasn't enough weight back there to keep the vehicle from toppling end over end when the brakes were applied. I was as young as 4 when that thought was in my head, I don't recall when I didn't worry about that anymore, but I know it was years of that worry when riding in trucks.
