Anyone have any idea what battery cables would be needed for a 1977 K5 Blazer?

What gauge and length?

I want to have thicker cables than normal, so I need to know what OEM would be.

Thanks.

Get yourself some 2 AWG welding cables. Cut to fit. Amazon is your friend.

Be careful using welding cable. While it will definitely tolerate the current, the insulation isn’t as forgiving with oil.

Find a heavy equipment or heavy truck repair shop. They will have actual battery cable that’s suitable for automotive use, and in the gauge you need. The truck shop near me has everything from 2 to 4/0 and will sell by the foot.

All of the “welding” cable I’ve purchased and used has been SOOW. No issue yet, but I guess time will tell.

The stuff I use now is 100% OFC and it seems great. It’s power cable made for automotive use.

Having a hydraulic crimper, fully tinned 100% copper lugs and marine grade heat shrink is also very helpful.

Sizing depends on amps, length, etc. I think the factory charge wire is tiny. 8 or 10ga. The starter wire is decent though.
