Looks exactly like what I just took apart. So I’d say it’s fine. We’re you having an actual issue? You never said other than the title of the thread that you were.

Did you find out where to get rebuild parts for the zbar?

Being one side is on the frame and the other on the trans,or block, every zbar I’ve ever seen looks like that.Poor design with to much movement.

I was looking at going to hydraulic shift set up.

I’ve got an entire sm465 set up from flywheel to yoke clutch pedal and everything.

So if you would like individual pics from anything I can get em to ya. Just keep in mind my stuff is for 2wd but up to the trans case all should be very similar.

Hi, I will give my 5c worth.
I have pulled the z bar system off my 76 C20 with a sm465.
The z bar on mine, at the tranny, had one side pivot bolted into the bellhouse, not engine block. The other side was the frame bracket. My frame bracket was worn out as the pivot bolt on that side had come loose.
My system isnt any good for you as my truck is a right hand drive in Australia.

You can see the big bolt hole on the side of the bellhouse

Im going hydraulic like on the later squares.

Novak also does kits for the slave cylinder, or maybe Wilwood? This will need a clutch folk change maybe, which I have done.

Thete are a few links on this site about this, and also about z bar stuff.

Yep thats the fuel neck, its a long wheelbase cab chassis. 131.5" wb.
Im doing a restomod, 75 chassis with a 59 cab/body. Well gotta save money now to buy the sheet metal. I have a build thread going. Its got a 454 with my rebuilt 4 speed 465. I got rid of the side tank, and got a 31 gal in the back like a Blazer.

If you are interested.
