hey honky kong jr what are the dimensions to locate your filler neck door. I really like how you set that up and would like to do that on my truck.
I just mounted the tank and just put the fuel door where it fell. I worked out pretty well I suppose. At 5-6 mpg I shouldbof went 30 gallon or bigger. It’s a pig and soon for sale again.

I'm wanting to do the opposite of this mod and install saddle tanks on both sides of my suburban when I put in the diesel engine. Currently have a 5.7 TBI. I have a 40 gallon tank now and hope to add two 16 or 20 gallon tanks to be able to carry a full load of fuel. I want the capability to put in gas in one of them so I can dispense gas into tank or other vehicle at the house but also use all 72/80 gallons for diesel when headed out on long trips. If it ever gets done I will document and post it.

It's just a K5 Blazer 25 gallon blazer tank that we picked up at LMC I believe.

I just found this tread. Would have saved me a lot of time looking for information. Lol
I used a 31 gal in mine, spectra blazer tank and sender, went to efi setup.
Fits great on a 76 C20 131.5"WB.

Customblue, got any photos of the fit?
I wasnt sure on the extra length of the 40 gal. As im in Australia, I didnt want to chance it, hence the 31 gal.

giggity....about to have this done on the drivers side when the fender wells are taken care of....as well as an H-pipe. Gotta love prior research. It may not happen sooner, but may later lol.

I know this is an old thread revival but could you use the 40 gallon tank to do this same mod and also how did the filler neck in the bed look after finishing?

Thanks
Did you ever get a good answer to your question about using a 40 gallon Subhuman tank?
