Woodland Green

Is that WA9015? That’s a 1987 only option, it looks like, but it’s the same color used on the GMT800/900s. I like that shade a lot.

You could mimic the deluxe two tone scheme by doing white below the moldings and the roof and pillars. That way you wouldn’t have to worry about the jambs, but you could shake it up a little bit. The exterior decor scheme with white in the middle would also look good. Any green that’s not a neon-looking color is good in my book.

What I’m thinking for the exterior decor scheme would look somewhat like this, but the scheme would obviously be different since yours isn’t a round eye, and the roof would still be green.

I think forest service green is so ugly. They're mostly white around here, and have been for a while. I'm sure there's some cool history behind that color?

Park Ranger green.....now that's a good one. I think the 87 woodland is really close.
I figured out the reason I didn't like woodland on later trucks......it's a totally different color. Much lighter. Paintref makes the distinction quite clear. Basically park ranger vs park ranger mixed with forest service.
You'd think I'd hate park service green since being ticketed by a lady ranger in state college for pissing in the woods, but a good color is a good color. Plus, she was kinda hot when she followed me and shined her flashlight on my ****.

It's so ugly.
But I'm gonna have to scuff and spray the whole thing.
My gf is kinda pissed that I abandoned my root beer brown metallic idea, but she's never shot jambs.

Your truck looks like it has been two toned with two different green fleet colors. The deep forrest and the minty forrest. Where did it come from/how did this come to be?

That minty forrest kind of reminds me of a 50's paint color. At least it's a little different from everything else today that is black, white or grey. It does not however make a good accent color.

I read once that they did a study back in the 50's and determined it to be the most visible color, factoring in all potential surroundings. Now they are just white, because at some point in the last 20 years, some idiot convinced everyone that white was the best color for fleet trucks of any business.

Trump rides around in a Burb that color. La Migra !!! Drive through El Paso in a truck that color and you'd think you're driving by a marathon cuz everyone is running.

The PO bought it from his employer. It was a fleet truck that was solid woodland green (it was owned by a crane manufacturer).
He said he didn't want it to be obvious that he was driving one of their trucks (and apparently he liked the two-tone idea), so he mixed some green and white paint and started spraying. Lol....
He wasn't aware that it was going to be minty like that and verging on robin egg blue. [emoji16]

It's a great color.
A coworker had a (2016?) Silverado that was some type of autumn brown metallic or something that looked really good. I considered that color.

I think the fleet white happened because it was cheaper, and easier to cover if they needed repaint or cover with vinyl.
