Buy a stock replacement GAS CAP.
Some charcoal (evap) canisters have FILTERS on the bottom. Plus a gas cap costs about 10 bucks , hi-roller. ;)

Enjoy this time. Breathe it in and SAVOR THE FLAVOR of HAMILTON fixes, while they last ! Muwahahahhaahah! :33::xmasorlyflag:

I'll try the gas cap thanks. It has 2 tanks but the switch went out. So the guy I bought it from only wired up one tank to operate. The operating tank has a cap that has the ability to vent once pressurized by pressing the center. The other has a regular cap I've used both caps on the tank that works and still had the same issue

Losing one tank and only using the other is SUPER COMMON and should not be a sensible source of other adverse running/starting , problems/issues.

We're shooting blind without pix though.

I ordered new canister what should I check before installing it to make sure it doesn't fill up again. I BELIEVE the purge valve on the old canister stopped working correctly

There should never? be liquid fuel in that system , it's intended for fuel vaporz? Only? That's vacuum hose.

Boy I tell ya what, ifn you got liquid GAS in that vacuum hose your troubles won't likely fix for 10 bux.. but hell we'll give it a shot. Without pix even.

You want we should stand on one leg too ? Maybe you has a more gooder plan! Where the challenge in all this?

Might as well go arrest illegal aliens AND THEN set them free. It's great practice for the drills .. You know we're gonna take State this season and Coach even says we got a shot at Regionals this year! So ungh!

I posted some photos. it is filling up through tank line. Possible the tank isn't venting correctly

That gas cap is junk. You're missing the whole top half of it. You say its venting when you take off the cap. That pretty much sums up the problem.
Start with a new cap that properly vents and go from there.

It has the top half. I was just was showing what it looked like without it. I have a new gas cap but would this cause the fuel line that goes to canister to get fuel into it

Very possible if it can't vent. The pressurized tank could potentially push raw fuel down the vent tube right to the canister.

Ok my question then is a new gas cap doesn't help the tank vent would it? It would hold pressure inside the tank also causing the line that goes to the canister to fill up

Something is very wrong... do you have a dual tank truck? Can you use both tanks? Did someone try to bypass the switch valve?
