that silver thing in the middle is the check valve that prevents fuel from entering the evap line to the canister. If that is removed you could have the issue you are describing. If someone tried to bypass the tank switching valve they may have plumber the return line to the evap line on accident, possibly?

My truck was pushing fuel out the top of the sending unit and it wasnt going to the canister. Youre going to need a manual and have to get onder the truck to figure this out.

Something is very wrong... do you have a dual tank truck? Can you use both tanks? Did someone try to bypass the switch valve?
Yes it does and the person I bought it from said, the switch wasn't working so they only set it up to use the drivers side tank and put a new fuel pump in too

I'll look exactly how they did it exactly

Missing some hoses on that canister. what are the ones that are on there actually connected to?

(Based on photo ) the one on the top goes to the fuel tank. The bottom goes to the TBI middle one is to atmosphere

Do you happen to have an air cleaner/ tbi port capped? Because the middle one (that you are atmosphere venting) should be routed there.
