Thanks for showing what wires you had to tap for that! I have a broken reservoir and my pump doesnt work, I was gonna swap in a 1988 oldsmobile cutlass ciera reservoir (with a pump on it) onto my truck, so that helps know what to tap to get the washer working!!

Im assuming its as simple as red hot, white not?

Also, if your reservoir and pump didnt come with it, you can install a check valve in the hoses by the pump in order to keep the lines "primed" so there is less delay from the beginning of the spray when using the pump for the first time in a litle while.

Since the pump is on the jug the lines stay primed. It's pretty instant when you hit the button. But I guess it won't hurt to put one on.

There was a factory TSB about the driver side shooting faster than passenger (unprimed and shorter distance to the end) and also the driver side dribbling out on hard turns.
Do you have the squirters on the wiper arms or mounted on the hood? (im guessing arms)

They're in the grill behind the hood. When I first looked into the problem, I pulled the line to the jug from the motor on the firewall and blew in it to see if it was clogged with dirt and crap.

It took a good breath to get bubbles in the jug. So I think the water just stays in the lines.

if you didnt know, the 85+ trucks i believe used a wiper hose on the arms instead of at the cowl to spray the fluid, if you wanted that type, a simple upgrade to the side hook wiper arms with the hoses on them gets you that uprade. As far as if its a big upgrade, depends. I personally like the wiper fluid coming out at the arm more than the windshield/cowl/hood etc

That plug you're tied into, from what I understand they're both + and when you engage the washer switch one of those wires grounds out?
I'm just trying the same thing and nothing happens when I hit the switch .(Stays +)
I took the switch apart, it was a little dirty but didn't change anything once cleaned up.
Is there another obvious thing I missed?

Does your pump on the motor work when you hit the button? IIRC when I put the test light on it one had power even when the button wasn't pressed. I just hooked the positive side of pump to that wire and negative side to the other wire. And it worked. I can double check when I get home if you want me to.

If your pump on the wiper motor doesn't come on(mine did come on)then your switch might be bad. And that's why it's not coming on.

The pump never worked since I've had it. My switch must be bad, the wires both are + and nothing changes when I hit the switch.
The pump I plan on using works I hooked it up to test in the second pic and it turned on(whichever way you moved the switch)

*I took the switch apart and cleaned it up broke the spring that returns the switch for washer but still slides around ok.
