I have basically stock replacement shocks on my 1982 K10 and I have Cooper 31x10.5 tires on 6 lug 15X8 Rally Wheels.

I am picking up some more 15X8 (5 lug) Rally Wheels tomorrow. I want to move the 31X10.5 tires over to the C10 and would like to move the shocks too if they would work. I am putting a 2 inch lift on the K10 that comes with shocks, but the ones on there now are less than a year old.

I believe that the rear sits higher in the k10 so they may be too long. Not sure though but I bet someone will come along and help better. Someone tell me if I am wrong.

I don't see why not. The front might have different sized bushings. If you already have the shocks it cant hurt to try!

It wont hurt anything if the shock is to long only if its too short. How well a longer shock works may be up for debate though.

The only problem I see with too long of a shock would be it bottoming out before the suspension does under compression.

Ya but if its just a stock K10 shock to a stock C10 it wont bottom out before the axles do.

So the C10 has 9.95" compressed and 14.98" extended for the front
and the K10 has 11.55 compressed and 18.08" extended.

i guess hes gotta try and see hoe far they will allow the suspension to compress but there is only about 1.5" difference compressed.

Well, going to give it a try and we will see. I just hate to buy new ones for the C10 when these are less than a year old.
