Edelbrock's website says it is for '86 and before, which I'm assuming means perimeter bolt heads. Will it work on center bolt heads too or is there more of a difference between them than I think?

I had this same intake and sold it on here, it won't fit center bolt heads. There's a pic if I can find it of the difference online.

it will fit center bolt tbi heads if you want to drill the holes out. I had one somebody did that to. You should really use the wedge shaped washers made for that if you do but I guess for mine they just drilled em out and bolted it down best they could

the 87-95 tbi style heads have center bolt valve covers like vortecs but the 2 center bolts are at different angles then the 86 and older styles.

96 and up vortec have onle straight down bolts 2 per corner, no center bolts at all

I've drilled out the center bolt holes before, along with making angles washers. It works fine if those are the parts you have to work with. If it's parts you are planning to buy, just skip the manifold and get the correct one.
