white lettering: in or out

I think its retarded looking at the white lettering through the underside of the truck. Just looks gay. So if you have the white letters you might as well put them out cause the other way just looks silly.

I don't really like the white letters so I specifically ensure that the tires I purchase do not have white letters on either side. If my tires did have white letters I would put them facing out.

A real 4wd never looks that clean or pretty You take a 4wd into the bush or into some mud and those white letters will be dark pretty quick.

There's more than once use for 4wd, it was sure helpful yesterday when truck was pulling a tile cart through a field that was damp. A good scrubbing will clean the white letters up after they get dirty.

I would mount those tires with the lettering out. Don't be ashamed to tell everyone what they are. Now if it was a tire that had white outlined letters then I would put them in.

BTW- I try NOT to be like everyone else. I do not care for custom black rims. If I have to pay big money for rims I want them to shine. This is just MY opinion. Everyone else probably thinks otherwise.

I was not a big fan of black wheels at first either- but I'm liking how easy it is to take care of them. I've had chrome wheels- they rust. I've had polished aluminum. They get dull and pit. These powder coated wheels are great. The machined rim on them is even coated in clear powder coat. And it seems like there are less options every day for a 16" wheel. Not interested in 18"+

I towed my buddies newly acquired '83 Suburban 3/4 ton today.

My tires won't be in for 3 more days and before I put them on I need to replace the pitman and idler arms, the upper control arms and get an alignment.

Soapy water and a red Scotch-Brite pad do a great job of making white letters look new again.

If they said "uniroyal" or "firestone" I would say white letters in. Those are BFG's so it would be a sin to hide what they are, without the white letters they just look like any other tire.

Well- got them mounted today. They look better in person vs the pics I took. They ride very nice on the highway and ride better over bumps on a gravel road.
