I just ordered the new BFG all terrain KO2 tires for my '03 Silverado. I bought the same size as what is on my K20 so I can trade tires and wheels between them if need be.

They will be mounted probably sometime next week and I got to thinking I don't know if I will have them mounted with the white lettering in or out. I've de-badged most of the truck, so it is more "classy" I guess. I'm leaning towards lettering facing in.

And looking around town you just don't see white lettering out much anymore...

I couldn't sleep and starting thinking about it. Just was wondering what opinions you guys had on it. And I've never posted a poll before.

95% of the time I say In. The white letters look good when they're new and clean...not so much after a few months.

A real 4wd never looks that clean or pretty  You take a 4wd into the bush or into some mud and those white letters will be dark pretty quick.

I put BFG A/T's on my '05 Sierra that was tastefully de-badged also. I put the white letters in and it looked good, but I wish I would have put the white letters out. Being on a stock wheel I think it may have looked better. I will never know however.

I think with the amount of de-badging I did, the white letters out would not have detracted from the look of the truck. And with the stock wheels the white letters can take the focus away from the wheels no problem.

edit: What color is your Silverado? That could make a difference too. My black truck could have used more contrast.

It all depends on the look of the truck IMO Can you give us a full pic of the truck to help decide?

98% of the 4wd owners never do any real off-roading with it so your example of driving into bushes and mud pits is only relevant to a very small percentage of people LOL I don't count driving through a grassy field off roading either.

Let the puppies out! My preference, even if they are a bit dirty...

If they said "uniroyal" or "firestone" I would say white letters in. Those are BFG's so it would be a sin to hide what they are, without the white letters they just look like any other tire.

I just realized I do not have any decent pictures of that truck. Here is the best I could find.

I have the white letters out on it now. They are not a solid white lettering, but just an outline.

The wheels are not easy to see- here is an internet picture of what they look like.

I always looked at it like this, until the tire manufacturer sends me a check for advertising for them, the white letters go on the inside.
