Just wondering if anyone has tried Auxbeam led headlights on their 81 and up? I’ve used their bulbs in my 2003 Silverado and really like them. They have them on Amazon set of 4 projector style for $149.00

Every kit recommended are all good kit's. All I can offer you is a great looking product as well as great customer service. If you ever run into an issue I'm a phone call or a text away. Even on the weekends (which I need to stop. LOL )

If you're into the projector style pattern you might want to look into my new Gen3 kit (P/N RMS3305PRO) equipped with mini projector bulbs.

Just stay away from those low cost glass lenses you see on Amazon or eBay offering you Right Hand Drive RHD lens patterns.

If you have any questions let me know.

The harness guy didn't really fall off the map. He just isn't the most honest and got in over his head with buyer requests I think. He did the same thing on multiple forums. Just poor response and customer service, at best. Unless he's moved in recent years, there's people that know exactly where he lives.

But anyway, a post here and there about a related product shouldn't be any harm. But if it's going to happen often, a vendor membership would be urged.

I was referring to my buddy's '76 round eye truck. There's very, very limited scatter. I don't have any pictures but it's very close to this google image, not as hard a cutoff line but not far off. My '85 lights do have some scatter, but they're not bad at all. Really no worse than a halogen, I've had a buddy drive my truck at me sitting in his camry before cuz I was curious

Mine have that cut-off line on low. It works once you adjust the lights

I went with a more "modern" look because it is the same style I had on my last two motorcycles, and I liked them. My only issue is that there isn't a reflector lens like on the originals, so I don't get light to the side of the truck; this was before I added the brush guard. This is a problem on the back country roads that I spend lots of time on. It is also an issue when cornering in the dark. I plan to add a set of "cornering" fog lights to help with this and watch for deer, prairie chickens and other wild animals (even burgers still on their legs).

Nope, nice and focused with a perfect cutoff line. Looks damn near the same as an HID in a projector housing

I found a picture of my H4 hella housings with LED, I couldnt find the low beam picture, but against the tree line there is evident light pollution past the cut off

While I dont have a picture, from memory, the cutoff itself was nicely crisp line that despite the scatter above it, was easily defined and thus could be used for aligning nicely.

Mine are the round 7”, so I bought some really cheap ones off of Amazon just to get the front end mocked up while reassembling the entire truck.
They don’t look bad.
I’ll probably install the RMS units eventually once I start driving it.

Not sure yet.
I've got the Hella H4 conversions in my Wrangler, the Hella retrobright yellow in my Avanti, and a set of the Morimoto Sealed7 in my CJ5. In terms of light performance, the Morimotos are hands down the best. Also the most modern looking with the stepped cut off, 6000K light color etc. The retrobrights are great but the high beam leaves for wanting. The H4 conversions are the best bang for buck if budget is an issue. I do like that the retrobrights are the yellow more factory color.
