Good afternoon,

1982 Chevy G30 4x4 pathfinder van

Power the Headlight switch:
Power to the head light switch was spliced in when I bought the van. Can’t find where the power is supposed to be ran from?
I have read the electrical semantics but can’t find answer or able to look at a local example.

Where does the power to the light switch originate from?

I can't say where it originally sourced power, but it was a constant fused 12v. So as long as the current power source is also fused and constant, that's really all that matters.

It it not fused. It was spliced directly from the red wire going to the fuse block.

That's correct, the main wire splices off to the ign switch/light switch. It is unfused through the firewall/fuse block. The power TO the block is from the starter motor cable, via a fusible link. Also don't like the way that spade terminal is hanging out of the plug.

Does anyone recognize this plug? Seems to tee into the wire powering the cigarette lighter. I’m not sure what it goes to. If anyone recognizes it, let me know. Everything seems to work fine.

Maybe for a constant hot wire for an aftermarket radio.
