Hi All,

I'm in the market for another square body. Haven't had one for around 15 years and I'm wanting one bad. Anyway, I've been looking at the 87's and on a few trucks I noticed there are two relays on the fire wall. I know one is for the fuel pump but what's the other one for?

Thanks,
Tommy

Tranny kickdown for the non-electronic trannies, I believe. My '90 with a TH400 had the second one but my '91 with a 4L80e does not

My truck has several but it's older with a carb and heavy duty. There is a relay for the AIR pumps on the firewall, there is a relay for the electric fans on the drivers side inner fender.

Thanks for reply. I think the 87's where hydraulic kick down for the 700's and cable for the 350's. I was wondering because most of them only have the fuel pump relay, very few have two.

Yep, heavy duty might be a whole other animal.
