Get the appropriate sending units for the gauge application (ex; if using an OE type cluster from an '83 K10 w/ 350 then use that application to order new parts).

If the sending units have different thread sizes adapters can be found to make them fir the 454 (most likely they will fit fine).

Any parts store will have them, or can get them. You have oil pressure, and temperature sensors. Look up the sensors for a small block and then look up for a big block and compare them to see if they will interchange, or are the same and get the ones that fit the block and have the correct wire connection.

Overall parts quality is horrible. You will have better luck with GM, Delphi or AC Delco but even some of their parts are offshore.

I am proponent of "if it aint broke don't fix it". Only place you can go is backwards.

I called Summit Racing to have them confirm the PN’s of the OEM style oil press sender (that mounts close to the distributor) and OEM oil press switch (that mounts at the oil filter adapter) for my new GM crate SBC 350 to work with my factory 0-60 psi gauge. The photo shows the PN’s for my SBC. You will have to get the proper pipe fittings. I have not yet installed these parts to be sure of their proper operation and compatibility with my ‘83 K5. I also bought an Autometer oil press 0-100psi gauge that comes with its own sender so I can monitor the oil press when I’m priming the oil system before I install the engine and I will also mount the Autometer gauge in my K5 as a comparison/backup to my factory gauge after I install the engine. The photo of the wiring was from an older post by someone else. I’m unsure if your wiring or oil press system/gauge is any different than my SBC and K5 that originally came with a SBC305.

Get O.E. senders and sensors for the year, model and engine of the truck you are working on,or if you swapped instrument clusters, for tgecyear ofvyour instrument cluster, the block fittings are all the same 1/8 27 npt,the temp senders will physically swap enginevto engine as well,if not in the head,in tge manifold. Important part is senders must match your truck for gauges to work properly. All the senders do not have the same values. Meaning a wrong sensor will cause, low, high or no reading.
