Grabbed ferrule kit and back probe set from hobo freight. Used the 15% and 30% coupon for this weekend. I believe it was @PrairieDrifter that recommended using ferrules for the Dakota digital install. I think that's a solid idea and is my main intention for them.

So this isn't really any kind of new tool, I don't even have it yet, but it's FOR a tool. I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Does anybody know where I might find one of these old lamp fixtures? I don't want some modern light for my vintage drill press. I've been looking for a while but have come up with nothing very similar.

Everything new is LED. Look for old photography lights.

Nice 150 series Craftsman. I've got two of them myself, one late forties and the other a 1959 in power bronze. Depending on what kind of drilling you typically do, if you use the depth stop a lot the later ones have this quick action style with a fine adjust. Much quicker than spinning the two nuts up and down.

Next to it is one of my 14" Deltas, it's a 1930s model with the round base. The other Delta 14" and Craftsman 150 live at the woodshop at home. You know, everyone could use four drill presses...

They work great for stereo stuff too. Certain speaker connections and amp connections. Safer and cleaner. Looks pro too!

Well I don't have 4 drill presses, but this Craftsman does have the optional King Seeley variable (infinite) speed control. This thing is so stout, I bought a small x,y vise to do a little milling work. Chuck in an end mill and go.

Dang, that's like a Select-O-Speed but on a drill press.

I love the flaring tools. I was looking at something but more basic. And damn, I didn't know I needed a back probing kit?!

Swung by HF for a couple things today. Was looking up various digital 3/4” torque wrenches the other night since I’m using GM TTY bolts for the heads and crank on my ‘05. I borrowed my buddy’s snap-off to do the blue truck but I need to do this truck, that one again, my buddy’s ‘04 soon after and who knows after that so I figured I should get my own.

HF had a coupon for 15% off this one, it’ll do everything I need and had great reviews so I grabbed it

Got some dirt placed around the future workshop. Still need to grade it all in. Also picked up this hydraulic puller for my rear drums on my C10. Worked on one for several hours the other day and it’s pretty much welded itself to the axle.
