What new tools have you got lately?

Just ordered a thin spark plug wrench for BMW motorcycles because mine didn't fit, only to find that there is one included in the toolbox under the seat

My wife insisted that we get a CNC router and CNC plasma table. Actually not joking.

We bought the Onefinity Elite Foreman CNC router and the Langmuir Crossfire Pro. I thought long and hard about getting a Crossfire XR, but it’s $4k more for capability I don’t need and/or can work around. The pro can still handle 4’x8’x1” plate steel, but the cutting area is only 48”x33”. I don’t think I’ll be cutting parts larger than that, but it is possible to do so.

That makes my laser engraver look like it was made by fisher price. Lol

You should have fun with those. I love mine but don't have deep enough pockets fir a big nice one like that. Good for you! Happy learning.

I have a question about lasers. The CNC router can run a laser for engraving, cutting etc.

There’s a 7w, 14w, 24w and 44w. Apparently the 44w is mostly for cutting non-ferrous metals and not good for engraving. I think the 14w is supposed to be good at engraving, and just powerful enough for cutting. Does that sound about right?

Mine is a 10w. They do make 5,10,20 and 40w ones. Mine works great for engraving and will cut 5mm thick wood with a couple of passes and with the air assist on it. I engrave more than cut with it.

Last week was a Milwaukee week, but all used (and free!) and two different Milwaukee’s.

Throwing my trash in the dumpster at my shop I saw a handle poking out of the dumpster and sure enough it was a hand truck, I’m not so proud I cant do some dumpster reaching and was rewarded with this:

Then at work was told they were throwing some “old Milwaukee drills” away and if I was interested, of course I cannot say no, so I got two m12 fuel (2016 vintage) drills. Both work too, little a little tough though and no batteries.

What you can do with those,I've done with some of my old 9.6/12v stuff put a cord with cigarette lighter plugs on them. Now you can use them with a jumper box,or under hood if you get a cigarette lighter socket and some charger clips. This one's a snapon 9.6 impact. The cord has a 2 prong trailer plug in the middle, so I have 2 other cords,both with a trailer plug on one end, one has clips on the other end,one has a lighter plug.
