Bought a OBD/OBD2 scanner to read trouble codes, diagnose and clear codes after repairs. So far very pleased with it. Even sends me reports via email.

I've been thinking about getting one of those. How well does it do compared to an air ratchet?

So I invented another good use for this. Changing the oil on my truck yesterday. I broke the drain plug loose, and used this with a long extension to spin it out. This is the first time in years I did not get my gloves doused in oil from removing the plug. Worked like a charm.

When I do an oil change I use a 5 gallon pail with one of these on top to catch the drain plug and oil filter, also works like a charm.

This is not a new tool I got,it was a tool I had planned on building at one point in time, had I seen it and known about it in my 20's it would have been awesome, but in my 50's my need for my own mill, lathe and boring bar are past. Posting this pic for younger people that may have a use. This is built using engine blocks because the have well machined, sturdy parallel surfaces and bores, for adding attachments, bolting fixtures etc. If there's any interest I'll see if I can find the instructions,to pass along. I put a link in post 1928,should give the info needed to proceed

Treated myself to a pair of new paint guns. All my years I've bought 2nd hand tools and used items, never could justify the outrageous prices on things....until now.
My older guns are approximately 10 plus years, so these will be around for a long while!

Not brand new but last one I got was this power probe. Pretty freaking handy.
You must be registered for see images attach

I bought one of those last summer for diagnosing a headlight problem that had me baffled, the PP made short work of finding the problem. The ability to put power to a circuit at any point was the most helpful feature.

I've been needing one of these for a while but I just can't pull the trigger. They're pricy

I’ve got an Autel power scan, it’s about 1/2 of a pp3, it’s met my expectations thus far.

It was my Christmas present so I never knew the cost, dang. I cant tell you how many times I wished my multi meter put out 12v. If you can't spend the money talk somebody into getting one for you for a gift.
