Got the M18 grinder and m12 cutoff wheel from Home depot on a deal of the day deal, got a free 5.0 m18 and 6.0 m12 battery.

Sweet score! I’d like a review of the cutoff tool after you’ve had a chance to use it a bit. Been wondering how that would work on sheet metal repairs.

esp on the small 12 v battery. the big one would hopefully be pleasantly surpassing expectations on everything i use it for

anyway, Already have an M18 chainsaw. Never used a chainsaw before last year when we got the m18(super sale, got a KICKASS Battry and the saw was OK) I Did however, do a few things as beginnier who just madei it up as I went and researched later why it didnt work so well, and I did some chain tightness things i should not do, and I hit a lot of metal things. A lot of the cutting was in overgrwoth near things that were metal but not obvious. like parts of fencing and JUST METAL WIRES HANGING RANDOMLY THAT ARE SMALL BLACK/RUSTY AND IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE UNTIL YOU HIT THEM and your saw bucks and the chainmakes a deathly noise...

Anyway, I found out the chain they supply is made by oregon and so is the bar(with milwaukee on it instead) and its a 16 inch bar. Well. they dont sell that proprietary chain local on shelf or is it common at all.

But lucky me happened into farm and fleet and saw a oregon bar and chain for sale price for packaging issues and i googled if you can use a diff bar, and a 16 inch .050 chain(.50??) is the thing to get, with a pn they listed.
and it was the same one. odds of that right. So now the chain is a few... tiny bit i believe that number denotes.. width of the cutting parts? whatever iti s, its barely different but the bar fits as it was the same in all ways except the chain it takes was differnt.
I could sharpen the original. but i havent ever done that.
and i hit a LOT of wire... and the chain had a lot of high stresses from my learning curve. and It was well oiled but I figured maybe a little more experience with it in hand and then also less to cut near our stuff like fences and wires should mean It will be sharp longer, then ill learn to sharpen maybe

Bought this guy to use for rebuilding battery cables and car stereo cables.
@Maxwellvis used it the other day and says it works like a champ.
He and a buddy built new 2 gauge battery cables for his Cherokee in no time at all.

Mmmm. Just picked up a new 20 inch bar and chain, I don't always need a big bar, still going to get a bigger bar since the 20 won't do it on the old cottonwoods. But I had some work to get done and the old chain was garbage and I wanted to start fresh. Looks way better and cuts like it too.

Definitely could strap it to the grapple forks and ziptie the throttle lol. For those high reach jobs you know

All I need is the time to source a new few parts, buildu p muscle in my noodle arms, and tune up or fix the inevitably dirty carb and points etc. I cant explain why but its almost my duty!!!! Jk lol

i neeed a new way to protect it tho the cover is too flimsy and fits too tight to put on quickly.(either lol) But im cheap and dont want to spend the time. CHOICES.

A blower? Yup, I've discovered how handy these are for drying off cars after washing. I was using my Echo gas blower but the neighbors didn't appreciate the noise first thing in the morning (I like to wash my cars before the sun comes up). This Toro F700 puts out more air than my Echo and cuts the drying time by two-thirds. A single towel is barely damp following a good air dry.

Finally replaced my super old Makita drill with this M12 Milwaukee 2505-22. I didn't want the bulk of an 18V so this is perfect for my needs. The quick-change heads are really nice for working in tight spaces so doing things like boring sideways through wall studs is a piece of cake now.

Last up is a Thinkscan 660 scan tool. I have three cars now that are OBD-II so I finally had to get a scan tool to communicate with them. This one is more advanced than I need but Costco had them on sale and I figured too many features is better than not enough. My square thinks it's lame though and refuses to talk to it.;)

I'd kill for a Tech II. We used to die to get our hands on one to time a 6.5L. Especially after the dealer told our customer the injection pump would "time itself."

The worst part was that the dealer would F the customer for hundreds of dollars in diagnostic fees and never fix the truck. Then I had to beg, borrow and steal a Tech II from a friend to actually set the timing and make the code go away. Then the customer would not only not demand their money back from the dealership, they'd expect me to do the work as a courtesy.

Years later I begin to understand why there are multi-billion dollar corporations and competent people struggle to pay their bills.
