I got a cable crimper for large gauge wires and battery cable lugs from Amazon

Some new dikes, box cutter, wall mount for propane torch,

Also a new 20V rotary tool! Kinda upset there wasn't any information on the label for what bit size to use and Lowe's didn't have any DeWalt brand bits. So I bought RotoZip brand ones and the dang things don't fit, they're 5/32" and the DeWalt only had 1/8" or 1/4" collets.

My old RotoZip was the second power tool I ever bought myself and it died a few years ago. I couldn't find parts for it due to it being the original model which was outdated over 20 years ago. I've been eyeing this cordless unit ever since.

Not sure if this counts - between a shop in the basement and the garage, I have about 50ft of bench tops and there isn't 2 ft clear on any of them to do anything. So I took one I built 15 yrs ago, tore it apart and redid it. A guy my friend knows was gutting a laundry room, so I picked up the cabinets for cheap. We were at Menards and they had oak drawer units on clearance - got the last 2. They also had some walnut flooring on sale cheap, so I got a package to try out. Made a great bench top. The little squares on the one wall is coasters made from scraps. What you cant see is the bench is screwed together but there is square nails at the joints to make it look old. All the clutter on the floor is totally gone now. I think I have less than $400 in the whole mess. Wife is afraid to use it......which is ok by me. lol

Before vs after.

Looks great… I can relate to the beach space issues. My dad calls it AFS, for “Any Flat Surface” because our workspaces end up unusable after only a few hours

Too clean, Have you used any of that stuff?
Oh yeah. Its big enough now that I can set something on each side, like for comparison, or swapping out stuff from a PC. I have laid out a towel before - just to see dark screws, small parts, etc. - but had that issue before. Wish I had done this 10 yrs ago - but a good chunk of the clutter was my inlaws so couldn't sort and get rid of it til recent.

This is the basement benches - the benches in the garage will never be this 'pretty'. lol

Reverse Osmosis. They usually put them under the kitchen sink, but this is neater and easier access. Will have one of these systems in every house I live in.

There is a separate faucet on the kitchen sink. Drinking water and the wife uses it to cook. Whole house setups have filters that are literally 4 ft long. I've upgraded and tweaked this one a couple times - going to put an inline filter on the main line going into the hot water tank next. Have done that before and it eliminates the sediment issue they all eventually get.
