Wow, that is quite the cluster of mods, lol. Those look like heater core hoses by size. Guessing by the hydra boost for the brakes that used to be a 6.2l diesel that someone dropped a 12v cummins in? Question would be, on passenger firewall, do you have the hoses coming out for the heater core in stock location? Almost looks like someone ran a different heater core and ran the hoses out the drivers side. Hard to tell without peaking under the dash.

It was originally a 6.2 truck and there is the typical heater hoses on the other side of the dash. Ill have to take a peak under the dash to see what is in there. I haven't ever noticed anything unusual under there but then again i haven't ever really looked under there.

It is probably some version of a tankless water heater for engine heating.

Block heaters are an electric element installed into the water jacket, or stuck to the side of the block.

custom heated seats for wintertime since there was so little heat to go around with a diesel without blocking the grill. ;)

That's what I thought but who knows what's been installed over the years

like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Kats-13150-A...&qid=1496867720&sr=1-7&keywords=block+heaters

It isn't like the block heaters that use a freeze (actually core plug) plug hole to install, it uses heater hoses to circulate warm water through the block. It says that it is a "tank heater", but that is a misnomer, it has heating elements and sometimes a pump but no tank - the block is it's "tank". It got that name because it looks like a tank.

I have never heard of that. Do you have any more info and there is no a/c controls but the dash has a/c trim

yep I have one in my 1974 and my dad had one in in his 1978 that he bought new .if you look in the glove box above the heater box you should see a fan unit and a/c unit there. It is like a under dash unit but tucked up in the dash and work very very good .

So without looking under the dash you wouldn't know it was installed?
