Rusty is still tag-able, his user name just has a space in it. I would have just tagged him to show it, but I figured I wouldn't bring his attention to here if it wasn't necessary.
ODD! When I tried tagging him earlier his name didn't show as an option. I did the @, then typed in rusty and waited for options, and his was not one of them. Just now I tried it the same as I did earlier and it showed up. Only difference was computer(earlier), phone(now).

Good to see he didn't deactivate and erase everything, he's a good guy and brings a twist to a situation.

Getting the CUCV ready to bring out of winter hibernation...

I had my dash apart to replace the CUCV voltmeter with 24v & 12V voltmeters from VDO, and to replace the heater controls with a new one from LMC since the old one looked pretty ratty. While everything was apart, I cleaned all of the contacts on the cluster circuit board, and I added LED's from NAPA for the gauge lighting and voltmeters. I thought it turned out pretty well.

Next, I installed new alternator pulleys so I can use 1/2" wide FleetRunner V-belts instead of the factory 3/8" belts. Everyone who's owned a 6.2 CUCV with dual alternators know how the belts are prone to wearing out and squealing all the time. So far, so good. They seem to be nice and quiet. The real test will be when I put some miles on them this summer.

Curiosity got the better of me so I tore apart the TH350 to see what the issue was. Guess this isnt supposed to look like this lol. Off to the scrap yard it goes :anitoof:

No sir! That's impressive looking and deserves to be cleaned up and used as a combination paperweight/conversation-starter!

Ball joint and axle u joint replacement in my 1985 Blazer, was not driving and steering right. One side, the ball joints were ready to come apart and were froze up on the other side. The u joints, seen startings of rust coming out. Drives and steers a whole lot better now.
