Try changing the power valve. Numerically higher I believe, that might just be on a Holley though. The edelbrocks seem to be love or hate. I'm not too fond of em lol
Yeah, no power valve on an Edelbrock that I’m aware of.

They’re all like that on all squarebodies.
Did you see Soundmounds pic? His tanks look like the senders are tucked under the cab...am I wrong? I assume they were all like mine until I saw the pic he posted in this thread with the bed off.

What I love about Carter/Edelbrock carbs: bolt on & drive them‐where ever you want. What I hate: spinning over of the engine after sitting for a spell. I have 4 Edelbrock Squares if you want to know.

Cleaned the bed out and Junior took his quad out to his girlfriends house to ride.
Now the transmission pops out of 3rd gear.

Choices have to be made soon.
Fix the trans I don't like with snap rings and shift forks.
Or start the conversion to 4L80 I have.

Hmmmm....

That's definitely a tough decision.

You know, the aluminum top type shifter makes for a much nicer driving experience. And you would still have the stupid simple manual transmission. Just a thought.

It’s true- the vents seem to let a lot of gas evaporation.

She's breathing now. 3" from the Y back through a Magnaflow 12259 and dumps out the stock location. Literally all I got to hear it before I had to run to work. Don't even know if I'm happy with the sound yet, but it was cheap, looks good and serves the purpose. Old vs. New

Depends on which size tanks you have. 2 of my 3 trucks pulling the bed does you no good for tank access.

So I got under and found that the catalytic converter is directly in front of the drivers side front tank strap. The rear strap seems to be easily accesible Please see first 3 pics:

Yeppers, I had the same problem.
So, I assume you took down the poly cover.
I loosed back strap some, so it's not poking through the frame. Removed all 8 bracket bolts. I supported tank with a trans jack whatever will fit...got the front bracket away from the frame enough to get a 18mm wrench on it from below, to loosen some. Problem for me was that front strap bolt got hung up over frame. Little pry bar and shimmy shimmy. You'll get there.

The front drivers side sits above the frame, thus no hole (in frame). I can't get to (tried a lot) because the shield for the cat is there. I used pivot etc extensions bla bla.
Removing the poly shield did give more room to move the tank, but not enough and strap thread hung up over frame. Loosened with wrench and pry bar to koax tank came down.
Exactly to your statement. I may use a sacrificial nut to not damage the new one I'll leave on, even run a die if needed. Seems PITA. Passenger side should be better.
Driver Tank up, ran it for it's 1st 10-15 minutes. Front bypass fitting started leaking a drip. Daughter's like "something getting on the winshield".Shut down and started tightening. Yikes. Engine definitely got up to 210°. It was so exciting to run the 1st time.
