Gooseneck progress cut the cross member shorter by 3in and relocated holes and you can see picture 2 it will sit flush under the bed(I think I have to get the 1" taller ball) upgrading all bolts to 5/8" grade 8
picture 4 I need to run and get some 1/4" 3in angle and re make the bracket(tried using some scrap tube but not happy with it to thin and didn't make it long enough to fit at least 2 5/8" bolts the 1/4" plate with the X I'm upgrading hardware from 1/2" to 5/8" and there is 6 of those plates tied to the frame(plus rear end of flatbed/hitch/frame/bumper all welded together) I also have some plans to tie in the rear cross member in better yall just have to wait and see
