AFR gauge is a go. Took it for a drive, way too rich at idle in gear. Leaned it out, raised the idle back up a bit, much improved.

I’d gone to the silver step up springs quite a while back thinking it was running lean but I ended up putting the orange springs back in, and off idle is in the 13s though I’m finding that I need to give the gauge a little bit since the readings tend to lag a bit to find their nadir- I might have to lean out the jets a bit but now is much better.

Ended up grabbing some 2" Dom for the bull bar and some 1/4" 3x4 angle for the goose neck

My brother got me a new gauge bezel for Christmas so I got started on that. Couldn't make myself cut it for the radio so I relocated the manual choke and burnout limiter switch to those 2 spots and blocked off the center from behind. Still got some cleanup work to do from welding in a new metal piece. Drilled/tapped some cabinet knobs so they match

Gooseneck progress cut the cross member shorter by 3in and relocated holes and you can see picture 2 it will sit flush under the bed(I think I have to get the 1" taller ball) upgrading all bolts to 5/8" grade 8
picture 4 I need to run and get some 1/4" 3in angle and re make the bracket(tried using some scrap tube but not happy with it to thin and didn't make it long enough to fit at least 2 5/8" bolts the 1/4" plate with the X I'm upgrading hardware from 1/2" to 5/8" and there is 6 of those plates tied to the frame(plus rear end of flatbed/hitch/frame/bumper all welded together) I also have some plans to tie in the rear cross member in better yall just have to wait and see

How much threads do you have under the ball plate? Can you shim up the ball with some washers? Save you from buying a new ball.

I don’t have any pictures as I’m slightly embarrassed to even post them with the great trucks here. I finally got my aluminum radiator secured. And if anyone knows where to get an aluminum radiator brackets that will work on the squarebodies let me know please. As I’m just making it work at the moment. And the 2 I’ve purchased would need more fab than it’s worth.

I am still waiting on my new engine harness to show up for SWclassics. Called me Monday and said would be shipping soon. Also have rear drop shackles to bring the rear down a few inches. And 2” drop springs for the front. Been eyeing some spindles but need to measure ride clearance before I drop it to much. Living on dirt roads don’t wanna go to low.

Picking up power steering belt tomorrow and once harness is here hopefully finish the engine up and get distributor and carb on. Then maybe throw some pictures up. lol.

My bezel was already hacked up for a Pioneer stereo that was nonfunctional. So I got a piece of plastic and shaped it to fit the area, and set it right in the middle. I downgraded the fuse to 5 amp and used the radio power wire circuit.

How much threads do you have under the ball plate? Can you shim up the ball with some washers? Save you from buying a new ball.

No moving it now either I cut the wood or drop 130$ on the taller ball since I'm only about 40$ into the setup if I have to get the ball no biggie
