I like the wagon wheel look, its a classic.
Yeah they fit the truck and look period correct one of my favorite rims scored on them for 80$ , got the rest of the brake parts today and put the rest of the wheels on think I'll be going with white for the rims really makes them pop I used that opportunity to oil all the hardware I'll be getting into for the brakes

Plunked a Q-jet that I had done up for the 79, that ended up on the Dart, then has sat around for a couple years on the 76 as a stop gap while I work on rebuilding the one off of the 76. Fired it up for the first time in a couple months.

Can anyone give me any insight on how the trailer brake controller works? This sounds stupid, I know.

Couldn't tell you exactly how this one works but I can show you how it's hooked up directly to the master cylinder and has this wild looking resistor under the hood and when you step on the pedal that lever moves I'll be swapping it to a modern style to work with my trailers e brakes I don't think this one was working because the wires were already cut

Can you move that leaver to activate the trailer brakes independently on the truck brakes? I have an old school one on my Camper Special

This is the stuff I like to hear.. hah. I've debated throwing on a brand new carb instead of rebuilding my Qjet.. but then I decided, no, I want the experience and learning of pulling a carb all the way apart and learning to rebuild it. So I opted for that route and ordered a kit from the "Quadrajet Power" website. Plus I have heard similar statements to the above that when you have a good quality one and it's tuned well, they are great carbs. :)

I'm just gonna get another one for these guys. More expensive route but they come tuned and tested and ready to slap on. Very happy with the last one I got from them.

Yes it was me. I removed all the under dash components and eliminated the “T” and steel brake line that ran from the master cylinder to the under dash unit. But the brake controller was just too cool once cleaned up so I put that back in.:D

From the looks yes you move the lever it contacts the switch and I guess your gain control is that variable resistor

Yeah the resistor is too cool I'll be leaving it under the hood for people to be like wtf is that lol I'll save the controller just in case it looks nice inside like it would still function but I want the leg room and prefer it be where I can use it with my right hand

Up early by 5am, got the differential fluid changed. Cleaned up, threw the knee brace back on and went into the country. Shame that the Acme Diner was closed- I was hoping for a chocolate malt. After that drove back into town for some Ethanol-free. Did probably 60 miles today before the leg had enough from being in one spot too long.
