I cleaned my tank and reinstalled it. It starts up and idles fine. But, hesitates off idle. I’ll have to take the carb off, again.

I think I broke mine, does that count?
Took it on vacation, flat towing behind the RV. The first leg, the transfer case wasn't fully in neutral, I think, and the shifter basically burned up. Miraculously found a replacement transfer case, but it started leaking the next day, and I decided my towed vehicle was just going to be a heavy trailer for the rest of the trip. I'll dig in to it sometime, I can see a crack in the adapter housing, who knows if that is a cause or a symptom.

Drove the 84 to work with a stowaway that I just found. Wow I might have to go kill him during break. I hate spiders!

I have it hooked up with a catch can. I either have the 2nd or 3rd version of the valve covers. I'm going to get a better catch can, this one is one of the $25 models lol.
I was looking at getting one for mine. I have at least 1000 miles on the 6.2 now. I put a tank through it(~300 miles) while tuning the 6.2 and then drained the break-in oil and WIX filter for Mobil 1 synthetic and an AC Delco PF63 filter. My wife then drove it out to Idaho and back over the weekend. It averaged ~16mpg out and back with some driving around town and the oil level is still dead on where it was when she left. I'm towing the trailer a little ways into the foothills for a camping weekend today... we'll see if it eats any oil on the trip.

If you are talking about the TH400/208 in your sig, then yes.. a cracked housing will leak. The TH400 and 4l80 are open vented to the rear on a 4wd and will spray a small amount of trans fluid out the back. If the adapter is properly sealed, it will just run right down the housing into the pan and no issues, but if the adapter is cracked, it will leak ATF.

Yep, that's the setup. I'll hop its just that, then, and not a second transfer case shot. Or worse, a transmission issue of it's own. Would it leak a lot of trans fluid even when it isn't running? The transmission was in park, and had been the entire time (transfer in neutral, of course). I might start a thread if I run into issues.

But, it's back-burner for now, I've got to get the Yukon back up and running. More diagnostic teardown this weekend, then probably next weekend yank it out and reinstall parts on the 6.2 (if I can get everything in time and if Dad is about to make the trip up).

Changed out my wiper arms for the j-hook style so I could run modern beam style blades.

I think I got sent the arms for 81-87, there's a shape about the skirt around where the post goes in that hits the bolt that holds the post assembly onto the cowl. When fully engaged, the arm sits about 3" up off the glass.

[Insert bleepable string of words and select phrases here].
So I figured screw it, just put on a set of bayonet base blades. From Napa. $31 that won't go for fuel. Sheesh.

Notice the shape of the area where it goes on the wiper arm post.

The finger closest to the post mount shows where, in the design of the arm, the skirt of the housing swoops low to accommodate how they set the tension spring mount. That feature hits the screw being pointed towards with the transistor radio whip.

It's literally been 2 years since I got these and don't remember from where.

Still can't decide if the SILV means Silverado or silver, the color. Either way, a swing and a miss. Maybe later I can upgrade to modern blades too.

Just finished for the day & opened the garage door. Looked out to see the next 2 Squares on the list. The Z28 is still waiting patiently...

Ha, adjusted the hood latch to where it will latch now. It's never been able to do that before. Still seems sketchy, I need to find a spring to fit where the original one for the hood catch went, that and some cleaning/lube, then its good for another 45 years.
The hinges are wobbly and one spring is crap, so on the list that goes. Probably should start a build thread for all the stupid I'll have to massage out of this poor truck.
