What's a catch can? Never had to have one on my 2000 Camaro SS. It never used oil like that and had 112,000 miles on the motor.

I have it hooked up with a catch can. I either have the 2nd or 3rd version of the valve covers. I'm going to get a better catch can, this one is one of the $25 models lol.
Might try just venting the can and plugging the suction line from the intake. That's what I did on my truck after finding the extreme amount of oil I was going through.

It's a can that goes in between the PCV valve and the intake to catch oil vapors and spray. Some engines need them more than others, but they're never a bad idea.

This is $34 worth of bolts. Place was pretty proud of them I guess. 1 is a 5/16 and the other 2 are 8mm. Hard (and pricey) part is finding them this long, with a button head and in grade 8.

Here they are in action. They were needed to replace the stock bolts as the heads were too close to the serpentine belt. Works pretty good now.

Took it to a local Cruise In this evening. Beautiful evening and great turnout. One guy came back looking at my truck several times before asking if it was original paint. I told him it was except for the hood. He said something like “Hard to beat being garaged!”

And definitely this

Which is a little harder to see. The rust, not the tweaker wiring.

The alternator in the 76 decided to not want to charge, swapped it for a 10si I had on the shelf from the junkyard. When I get time I'll look into the 12si I pulled off it and see what decided to call it quits.

Changed the oil too, decided to try VR1 20-50 since it has the zinc needed in it.

How’s the 20-50 workin?
I have a few gallons of it leftover and was thinkin about using it up on my old vehicles. It’s a little thick for my taste usually run 15-40 in most everything. But I was plowing through this super cheap 20-50 in a vehicle that leaked and burned oil but never used it up

Lotsa pics of the new baby lately. Better check your blue truck she’s probably gettin jealous!
I'm planning on changing the plugs in the 82 today but, rain has delayed me for now. Hopefully I can do it here in a few if it dries up a bit.

Found my miss problem when changing plugs. 8 cylinder plug boot burned through and was arching to the header. Replaced it with an old wire. Guess I'm gonna get some fireproof boots for it again and put one on #8.

New msd wires too. Sucks they are expensive.
