Replaced my rusty and busted battery tray and support, new external tranny cooler lines, clamps and supports (37 yo!), and installed new radiator support bushings. Scotch-Brite on everything behind the grill, wiped it down with 91% alky and laid down some ceramic high-heat black and, lubed the hood hinges.
Gonna give her a good washing tomorrow and spray some lube on the door latches. Whew!

There was a rust hole in the 82s hood. Grinded the rust off, then stuffed with newspaper and put bondo over it. Sanded a couple of rust spots off and sprayed primer on it. The most I'll probably do is paint it with a flat color. Or maybe leave it with primer spots. We'll see what happens. Lol

Finally got around to the final piece of the detailing puzzle. 30+years of Montana dirt roads washed off. No hose used, just dollar store decreaser and several hours of my time lol.

Well if it is from that, I don't know it, lol. I know it from a much more family-friendly type show. I don't know how to give any clues that won't completely give up the answer.

Started the seat project today disassembly and cleaning. Hog rings were no match for a decent set of side cutters thankfully. Foam isn't terrible, but I bought a new one anyhow. No busted springs and only mildly damaged cords. The seat retaining latch bolt wouldn't come out on the drivers side, nut had busted its weld. So, I Booger welded it with flux core wire cause I got no gas. It'll do better than the factory weld for sure, but man is it ugly! Cleaned the hell out of the tracks and threw a coat of rust reformer on them before I paint them gloss black this week.

I got the 427 in the tug. Got it sitting properly finally, had to modify on of the engine mount brackets, what a pain.
But its in and running. Runs pretty good. Loud AF. Open headers right now, have to finish exhaust.
Took it for it first drive. Made 2 whole laps of the driveway, lol.
Rides like doo doo, as predicted. You feel every pebble like its a speed bump.
And found put it has like 5.08 rear end for something. Flat out it does like 30mph. Turns on a dime, like wow. Smallest turning radius of anything ive driven, haha.
Started building a custom flatbed for it. Its 44inches long, lol.
Cut up an old beat up 10 foot flatbed that was in my buddies back yard.
Fits perfectly. Just have to finish it now.
Thats as far as i got before life got hectic.
I haven't touched it in months.

Bought this beautiful piece of crap a while back too. 75 C60 stubby wrecker. Bought it from my friend that runs a junkyard. Was his dad's.
Got it running right there at the yard and drive it a couple miles to my buddies house on tires that we're going flat and no brakes.

Has the nicest factory seat i think ive ever seen in a squarebody. Super clean and comfy.

Blocked it up, put it in hover mode, stripped all the wheels and tires apart, and luckily found 4 nearly new tires at the scrap yard.
And yes those are spilt rims. 20in firestone 3 peice split wheels.

Took all the rims and rings home. Pressure washed, and wire wheeled, and sanded, and ground, all 6 rims, bead rings, lock rings, and 2 rear spacers, down to bare metal, and repainted them. 4 coats of primer, 2 coats of black, 4 coats of silver, and a coat of clear....
Came out pretty nice..

I borrowed my buddie's grandpa's tire hammer and pry bars, and popped them all back together. Went pretty easy. And yes, i used a cage. Safety first.

After that installed a new master cylinder, and bled the brakes, checked lights, and washed the window, and drove it 20mi home. Problem free. Thing runs great.

Have since fixed the 2 speed rear end, fixed a bunch of cab and under hood wiring, and started rewiring the whole bed for lights stripped all 40 somthing of the old lights off, sanded, pressure washed, and repainted the whole bed

Those are the only squares of mine ive done anything to as of lately.
My poor 86 needs her manitance, just haven't had the time.
Heater core blew up all over my floor. Just looped the heater hose line for now, fix it later. Fixed a headlight and a plate light. Thats about it.
