The stereo came in yesterday. Put it in this weekend if it don't rain. Hundred bucks for it.

I've got that exact same model sittin on my bench, that I bought last week.
My Alpine's output quit working except for the sub.

Might just be a ground issue at the amps, but I haven't pulled the seat to check it out yet.
If it is, the Kenwood will be for a spare. Stereos with a CD player are gettin hard to find lately. Alpine doesn't even make them any more.

yeh after responding to another post about sound/console, I'd rather build a sub that went underneath the bench seat.....box full length of the seat...cross hump and all. Dunno if thats feasible or not. I can put chains n jumper cables behind the seat instead of underneath the seat.
A buddy of mine says he builds boxes to go under the seat all the time. Basically takes up the whole center low area, puts a downfire shallow 10 in a sealed box and mounts the amp/amps in the center of the back wall. That way you still get plenty of storage and he says it sounds great.

Yeah Walmart doesn't carry cd players anymore. I went there first. I've got a lot of cds so I need one. I still like buying cds.

Same. I don't want to mess with the truck dash so just BT for now. I have about 20 different CD's floating around in my CRV though. 6 disc player. I still have always had about 20 different CD's floating in just about every ride, even before a 6 disc changer.

I've never figured out why aftermarket radios are so complicated compared to stock radios... and why the tiny buttons?
I'm mostly looking to get the phone playing through the radio as I listen to podcasts and playlists that I like. Radio ads and DJs irritate me. I'll get the thing set up and then put my bifocals away...

You can get these stereos from Ali express, doesn’t play cds but Bluetooth works and I think they look pretty good.
I’m going with 2x 3.5 in the front and 6/9s behind the seat with an amp/sub combo in a custom box.

Fronts all together apart from the tie rod. Full strip down, new ball joints, bushes, bearings, ujoints and some eazy ride 4 inch leafs.
Backs out and coming apart with some off-road design drop shackle kits. Has anyone had luck removing some springs out of the leaf pack for more flex and softer ride?

Not much progress got the front 2 outriggers tacked into place and looks good and everything clears of course rain coming back so I'll just be enjoying the weekend also got the body mounts in the mail more parts stacking up I have to get them in before any welding to the frame because the front mount won't be accessible afterwards (I could drill a Access hole in the future if needed)

Shorty spark plugs in, and reconfigured the plug wires to avoid burning them. As it turns out, no heat shields needed.

As noted in the other thread, more wire protection for the starter/wiring from the headers going in tomorrow or Monday.
